STORY

SYNOPSIS

After losing her mother to cancer, Sarah’s conviction to never lose another loved one drives her to discover a formula for eternal life that provokes a fatal crisis: Mr. Goodwin, an investor in illegal biological experiments, is hellbent on selling the formula through his network of black market clients. Now Sarah must reverse her catastrophic discovery or pay an unthinkable price.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

LIVE FOREVER is a slice of life/thriller/adventure about finding the formula for eternal life. You will see punk rock concerts, mysteries, and the conflicts of a teenager who gets what she wants, but sometimes with serious consequences. If you like cute characters with guts, surprising moments and stories that not only entertain but inspire reflection, this is the comic for you.

WHY AM I DOING THIS COMIC?

One of the issues I’ve always wanted to explore is the acceptance of death. I think this comic examines that subject with a fantastic, reflective approach, with challenges and adventures. I don’t like just telling stories that entertain, I like stories that generate a dialogue with my readers, that is, you.

CHARACTERS

Sarah

Lead singer of the punk rock band Lips N’ Strings. A girl who gets what she wants, but sometimes with grave consequences. She discovers the substance of eternal life and triggers a crisis.

Bat

A boy who carries a mysterious bat with names inscribed on it. Are they his victims? The ones he hit? No one knows, but some know is he’s stuck in the “friend zone” with Sarah.

Elisa

A clinical laboratory worker and Sarah’s best friend. She is the one who can help Sarah get what she wants but refuses to be part of Sarah’s madness.

WHO AM I?

I won first place in the Norma Editorial 2003 contest, taking the prize for Best Work. Norma then published my first trilogy, The Dance of the Conquest. My next trilogy, Tinkers of the Wasteland, was issued as a webcomic for three years and received several nominations and awards, including Best Writer and Best Graphic Novel. Next, I made SOMBRA, a comic written by Justin Jordan, drawn by me and published by BOOM! Studios. My latest collaboration is with John Stork, drawing the webcomic Tomb Busters.

My motivation is to express myself through comics. My goal is to dialogue with you through my stories. =)
