Do you want to learn a trick that will help you for more than one thing? Well, if you get along with the digital then this will be useful. And if not, then perhaps you can learn something new and apply it when you decide to explore the digital arts. But if you are reluctant, look at what you are missing….
In Clip Studio Paint Ex 5, there is a tool called “Mesh Transformation.” Although, I’m sure earlier versions also have this option. The fact is that with this tool you can achieve great things, very fast and with excellent results.
I often use many patterns on Sarah’s clothes and see what this tool can do for you. That pattern is the one I used in one of the scenes of my comic LIVE FOREVER.
When I copy and paste it into the document I am using, I select the Mesh Transformation (Edit/Transform/Mesh Transformation…), and I can apply the perspective and the volume of the objects by moving the tension points.
To later result in a perfectly placed pattern, and give the impression that Sarah’s blouse is fitting it well in perspective and the most important, with volume.
It may not turn out the first time you try because you require perspective knowledge and visualize the volume in your mind. That is why it is important not to skip learning processes when you are learning so you can apply them later easier. But once you manage to master this, it’s fast and useful.
In the next post, I will talk about the “Updates and progress of my comic” I will give you news and sneak peeks and what I need to do to get it ready to publish. Don’t miss it!
